Agricultural Extension & Advisory

Agricultural extension only works when it reaches the farmer in their field, in their language, at the right point in their growing season. That is the foundation of our approach.

Our extension work is delivered by trained field agents based in the communities they serve. They run Farmer Field Schools, provide one-on-one agronomic support, demonstrate climate-smart techniques, and link farmers to certified inputs, financial services, and market opportunities.

We currently operate across 21 districts in Eastern, Central, Western, and Northern Uganda, reaching 5,320 smallholder farmers through 197 structured farmer groups.

  • Farmer Field Schools (FFS), seasonal, hands-on learning in farmers’ own fields
  • Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) training for all major value chains

  • Climate-smart production techniques (conservation agriculture, mulching, water harvesting)
  • Integrated pest and disease management
