Building the skills, governance, and institutional capacity of farmer organisations, cooperatives, and farmer groups to function as effective business entities.

A farmer group that cannot function without an external NGO is not a farmer group. It is a project. At Light Agro Skills, we build farmer organisations that work on their own, with clear governance structures, trained leaders, financial management systems, and a real understanding of how to negotiate with buyers and access financial services.

We currently work with 197 farmer groups across 21 districts. Each group is supported to develop its own constitution, elect accountable leadership, maintain financial records, and engage with markets as a collective business unit.
